What Is "The Point"?
When I meet people irl (in real life) I always say, "tell me a story." And then they either come through or they fail. Most people--when prodded enough--will tell you a story. When you get down to it, that's what life is right? A threading of stories?
The point of this blog is to chronicle my life via my stories. Hopefully, together, we can also figure out what the point of it all is. I am a firm believer that everything in life has a point.
As you start reading this blog, you should understand that I don't have a perfect memory. So here and there, I'll take a small artistic liberty with the stories. You know, were we at the Mexican restaurant or the Chinese one when I spilled Coca-Cola all over the table? Was Arla sitting across the table or beside me? None of these things change the meat of the story, so I just go with what feels good at the time. If I don't freak out over it, you shouldn't freak out over it.
And of course, all names have been changed to protect the innocent/guilty/oblivious/
embarrassed/big-headed/shy/angry/revered/gay/loved/hated/boring/ridiculous/very real people who comprise key characters in these stories.
